Kisan Baburao Hazare born on 15th June 1937 popularly known as Anna Hazare. He is an Indian Social activist who is recognized for his participation in the 2011 anti-corruption movement. Hazare also contributed to the development and structuring of Ralegan Siddhi, a village in Parner taluka of Ahmednagar district, Maharashtra, India which is to be know as the “richest village in India”.
Anna Hazare has also been awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award—by the Government of India in 1992 for his efforts in establishing this village as a model for others.
Anna has also been featured as the most influential person in Mumbai by a national daily newspaper. He has faced criticism by some commentators for his authoritarian views on justice, including death as punishment for corrupt public officials and his alleged support for forced vasectomies as a method of family planning.

Anna Hazare in his childhood days was very naughty but very good in studies, he was not able to study more because of his family financial problems, but whatever he has studies he always came first in school.
Because of his family financial problem he stopped his studies and went to Mumbai with his maternal uncle for some work to help his family.

One day in Mumbai one of the police constable was asking for “hafta” from a poor fruit seller, when Anna saw this happening he went to the constable and asked why r u doing these ,then the constable start scolding Anna and also pushed Anna, in this Anna got angry and hit the constable with a big stick and ran away.

Anna Hazare – Personal Life
Anna Hazare is unmarried. He lives in a small room attached to the Sant Yadavbaba temple in Ralegan Siddhi since 1975. He never visited his home though it is in same village. On April 16, 2011, he declared his bank balance of 67,183 (US$1,500) and 1,500 (US$30) as money in hand. He owns 0.07 hectares of family land in Ralegan Siddhi which is being used by his brothers. Two other pieces of land donated to him by the Indian Army and by a villager have been donated by him for village use. He receives only a pension from the Indian army as income.
